Welcome to jWAP

jWAP is a Java implementation of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). It includes Wireless Session Protocol (WSP) and Wireless Transaction Protocol (WTP). Additionally, jWAP contains a WAP Binary XML (WBXML) Parser/Generator. jWAP requires Java V >= 1.2.

jWAP is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).

29 April 2005 - jWAP 1.2 released

jWAP 1.2 is a maintenance release mainly consisting of bugfixes.

31 May 2004 - jWAP 1.1 released

jWAP 1.1 comes with a lot of new features and additions. Some of them are:

  • Support for WSP header encoding and decoding
  • WSP Multipart Data encoding/decoding
  • Simplified WAP client for executing WSP GET/POST requests
  • Lots of bugfixes...
